Still-Life Drawing
Course Description: The instructor will work with students step-by-step through the basics of drawing still life using graphite and colored pencils. Students will learn the fundamental principles of line, shape, form, proportion, composition, and perspective to get an accurate drawing. Students will learn how to draw a variety of interesting geometric and organic objects including vases, mugs, furniture, fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Students will learn basic drawing techniques, e.g., shading, hatching, cross-hatching, and blending. The instructor will work with students individually according to their level. All levels welcome.
Class Dates: Tuesday May 7th, 14th and 21st | 6-8pm
Supply List: A drawing board (11 X 14”), Strathmore newsprint drawing pad (11X 14”), Strathmore sketchpad (11 X 14”), Drawing/Graphite pencils (2B, 4B, 6B, 2H), 12 assorted colored pencils
